If you’re specifically looking for my On the Move blog series based on my travels, you will find them scattered in the posts below or click HERE for a shortcut to just those travel posts.

Actor Appreciation
In preparing to hold auditions for casting my next film called BLUE COPPER, I’m reminded of how much I appreciate actors. They all have unique personalities and varying skill levels, but regardless, they have a tough job.

Aversion
Time for a short story!
An old man finds himself in a serendipitous friendship.
AVERSION

Giving Imagination Permission
I’ve always thought it was fascinating that when trying to ignite a spark for a story idea, I do better when I actually give my imagination permission.

It’s About Success
Some high school students recently asked if they could interview me. Of course, I obliged because I always have something to say! A couple of their questions were about the topic of success. How I define it and how do I become and stay successful.

The Black Vase
Short story time!
The Black Vase - With years of professional performance experience, Cassidy Erickson finds herself back in her childhood church as the pianist. She is not known for her pleasant ways and finds herself coerced into mentoring Sam, a talented young sixteen year old girl. Sam is challenged by Cassidy, not only musically but by her condescending ways and hardened exterior.

Going Sailing
Last weekend, I went sailing for the very first time. I’ve been on numerous powerboats over the years, but a thirty-eight foot sailboat was completely different.

Finishing
For many years during my corporate America tenure, I taught various leadership topics. One of my favorite courses was called Building Leaders. It was a favorite because we hit upon so many keys to personal success.

Making A Difference
On my website (mindclover.com), some of you have watched my videos and read my write up about my two trips to Ethiopia. But for those who have not, I wanted to share a little bit with you here.

Drill Team and Life
It is interesting how formative high school years can be. Of course, there was both great and challenging times, but looking back now, it is very evident that those years were important in my development and my preparation for life.

Banana Nut Bread Makes Life Go Around
I have been craving Banana Nut Bread. I used to bake it a lot when my kid’s were at home—usually, whenever we had bananas that became too ripe. You know, when their bright yellow skins have turned black on the outside and they feel kind of mushy.

The Problem Neighbor
Nobody gets to pick ‘em but everybody has ‘em.
Ms. Johnson woke up to the sound of another loud party going on at her next door neighbors house. Mr. Brown was relentless with these regular disturbances, obviously not caring one iota about what the neighbors thought about him.

Thorny Beauty
I have always loved wildflowers. Mostly they are classified as weeds and we mow them down, tug them out by their roots, and exterminate them with chemicals. I understand that reasoning in certain places—like a well kept yard.

Just a Smidgin
This is a slightly modified version of something I penned three years ago as I tried to make sense of things. Although, I was referring to the breakup of my 21 year marriage, it was a vivid example of how over time we have the power to change our lives.

Baggage
Use your imagination as I tell you a story. First, I want you to picture in your mind a huge pile of all different types and sizes of bags. Rolling suitcases, duffle bags, backpacks, cosmetic bags. Zippered, buttoned, latched. In your mind, see the stack. The stack is BIG.

Last Words and The Old Woman
Six years ago, I received a phone call from my father. At 88 years of age, and my mother at 86, it had become too difficult for them to make it to the grocery store alone.

Screenplay to Novel
This photograph was taken in January 2013 during a short personal writing retreat. One day was spent snapping photographs around beautiful Sedona, Arizona, but most of the time I was working on a feature length screenplay.

Anna
I imagined that Anna had experienced what most would consider a difficult life. Dysfunctional family, bouts with addiction, peppery jobs.

Breathing Sunshine
Illness, accident, death. Loss of a job, a home, a child. Many of these are in no way a foreign experience to any of us, those unexpected tragedies life throws out.

And Off We Go!
Well, I’m writing a blog! I know blogging has been around for years, now. I have enjoyed reading them periodically, but have never given back, until now.
